Dan English Recognized for Sixth Consecutive Year, Also Recently Named SCS Chief of Technology
Minneapolis – July 21, 2015 – Superior Consulting Services (SCS), a technology firm that combines highly experienced IT professionals with Microsoft products and tools to solve business problems, today announced Dan English has been recognized as a Microsoft SQL Server Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for the sixth consecutive year. English is one of only five SQL Server MVPs in the state of Minnesota, and one of approximately 375 worldwide.
The Microsoft MVP Award is an annual designation that recognizes exceptional technology community leaders around the world who actively share their high quality, real world expertise with users and Microsoft. As an SQL Server business intelligence professional, Dan is committed to learning and sharing the latest Microsoft developments, which include technologies such as Microsoft Office, Office 365, and SharePoint.
To be considered for a Microsoft MVP Award, nominees are reviewed by a panel of MVP team members and Microsoft product groups, who evaluate each nominee’s technical expertise and voluntary community contributions for the past 12 months. The panel considers the quality, quantity and impact of each nominee’s work before selecting the year’s winners. Nominees from 90 countries around the world compete to win Microsoft MVP Awards.
“All of us at SCS are incredibly proud of Dan’s well-deserved designation as Microsoft MVP for the sixth year in a row,” said Paul Purington, President and CEO of SCS. “With more than 19 years of experience with Microsoft technologies and eight years spent specializing on SQL Server data warehousing, Dan continues to enrich the Minnesota technology industry and the greater global Microsoft community through his outreach. His Microsoft expertise is highly valuable to our entire organization as well, leading the charge on how to deliver innovative and exceptional business solutions for our clients.”
In addition to Dan’s Microsoft MVP recognition, he was recently promoted to SCS’ Chief of Technology, where he will provide overall vision and direction for the technology products and services of the organization. He will also form an internal council that will focus on strategic planning to ensure SCS is on the leading edge of offerings for their clients.
